Here is a superb Aït Wauzguit hanbel, this tribe settled in Jbel Sirwa, south of The High Atlas, south of Marrakech. The weaving is dual, with wide spreads of flat woven brown wools, in between which have been laid down stripes of motives both knotted wools and brocaded wools. The brown wools are natural, others but white are dyed. The designs are geometrical and purely berber. Good condition – Dimensions : ca 390 x 145 cm / 156″ x 58″ – Ref : M0706
