Here is another Beni Mguild carpet: when the first one displays a field with a losangical grid, this one shows ( more visible on the reverse side) a number of small geometrical designs that will appear on the front side with years and wear. Until then it offers to the eye a red wild field. This is a “special” feature of a number of Middle Atlas carpets which are have design woven using the symetric knot while the field is made of berber knots.
