This carpet is new and inspired from the Beni Warain tradition in north eastern Morocco. As a recent creation, it finds its roots in this multisecular tradition of white carpets with dark designs, using an unusual but still traditionnal design made of undulating lines flat woven with a white piled field. This very specific practice is not new but was usually omly employed for straight lines. The result is quite elegant, offering to the eye a confortable and generous carpetwith a good woll thickness. Period: new – Dimensions: ca 360 x 240 cm / 144″ x 96″.
