This hanbel is made of bucharuit, the word for rag in dialectal moroccan language. This practice, that emerged probably in the mid 20th century but was identified and valued not before the early 2000’s, has produced a vast number of pieces, among which some really nice ones. the present bucharuit is a flatweave showing a checker board of multicolored hexagons over multicolred stripes.
